Our Fair Work Statement

At Snap-Elastic, we are committed to embedding the principles of Fair Work First into the heart of our organisation. As a small but ambitious company working across Scotland and the UK, we aim to ensure that everyone who works with us is valued, heard, and supported. We strive to offer a working culture that is ethical, inclusive, and creatively fulfilling.

Effective Voice:

We create multiple opportunities for our team to have a meaningful voice in how Snap-Elastic is run. This includes regular open conversations, team meetings, structured check-ins, and collaborative planning processes. Freelancers and core team members alike are invited to contribute to organisational development and decision-making. We welcome feedback and ideas from across our network and are committed to acting on what we hear.

Opportunity:

Snap-Elastic is committed to fair, transparent recruitment practices. All job and freelance opportunities are openly advertised and fairly assessed. We actively seek to widen access to our work, and we are working to develop more inclusive talent pipelines and recruitment practices. We invest in the growth of our team by offering paid training and development opportunities, tailored to both project and personal goals.

Security:

We offer meaningful work that is properly contracted and fairly paid. We do not use zero-hour contracts. All freelance roles are issued with clear agreements outlining responsibilities, timescales, and payment terms. We are a Living Wage Employer, and pay at or above the Real Living Wage. We are committed to improving pay parity across roles and career stages within our organisation.

Fulfilment:

Snap-Elastic fosters a working culture built on care, creativity, and trust. We aim to create conditions that support our team’s professional and personal development, whether through secondment opportunities, creative labs, mentoring, or reflective practice. We understand that meaningful work comes from a sense of purpose and belonging, and we work to nurture that through thoughtful project design and inclusive leadership.

Respect:

Respect and dignity are central to how we work. We have a zero-tolerance approach to bullying, harassment, discrimination, and victimisation. All team members are expected to treat one another with kindness, respect, and professionalism. We are committed to upholding the Equality Act 2010 and take proactive steps to create a safe, supportive and inclusive working environment for all, including through clear grievance and safeguarding procedures.

Health, Safety and Wellbeing:

We take our responsibility for the physical and mental wellbeing of our team seriously. We work collaboratively to ensure health and safety is embedded in our planning and delivery, with appropriate policies and training in place. We also support wellbeing through flexible working practices and open dialogue, particularly where team members have caring responsibilities, health needs or access requirements.
